Statement on CoHo South Café closure
On Thursday, June 11th the CoHo South Café will permanently close its doors.
The CoHo team is extremely proud of the impact this little satellite café has had in the 15 years it’s been operating in the Student Community Center. Hundreds of student employees and thousands of customers have benefitted from this offshoot of the largest student-run foodservice operation in the country. Although we are sad to see it go, we are excited to focus 100% on making the main CoHo all that it can be.
As for what’s next in the Café space, please keep an eye out for an announcement coming soon. Although the next tenant won’t carry the “CoHo” name, we are excited that the space will continue to have service to students at the forefront of its mission.

THE COHO SOUTH CAFE
The CoHo South Café, located in the Student Community Center, was opened in January of 2012. Located across campus from the Coffee House, the CoHo South Café offers coffee, espresso, fresh baked goods from the CoHo kitchen, various breakfast sandwiches, a selection of CoHo branded grab and go items also prepared in the CoHo kitchens.
The CoHo South Café utilizes the Coffee House's unique student-driven model, with a small team of student employees and student supervisors/managers overseen by only one career manager. The CoHo South Cafe also serves a unique role in that it supports the various cultural centers located within the SCC by working with their event organizers to ensure that food production for their large scale events is done safely and efficiently.
