Student Employment Coordinator
Mariah Gurley, Student Employment Coordinator

Hello! I’m Mariah, and prefer she/they pronouns. I graduated CSU Chico in 2018 with a Parks and Natural Resource degree, with a background in Environmental Science. I assumed the role of Student Employment Coordinator at ASUCD Coffee House in September 2021 where I hit the ground running! Alongside my team of Human Resource Student Managers, we have hired over 300+ student employees for CoHo handling all recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, payroll, work-study and any other student employee related activities. Prior to joining the CoHo team, my passion for mentoring students sparked in my role as a student supervisor and assistant site manager with the campus COVID-19 testing efforts. Through my experiences, I learned first hand the resiliency and adaptability students had. My goals are to bridge the gap between the students and the university while mentoring them to support them in their future careers. I’m grateful to work here at CoHo which supports a “student first” mindset while incorporating inclusivity and sustainability at the forefront of our operations. Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, kayaking with my wife. When at home, I play with my two cats Baby & Grogu or games on our Nintendo      Switch like Mario Party.
